Palm Springs Hotels – Where to Stay, Our Tips & Tricks

Palm Springs is a tourist conglomeration of 9 cities in the state of California USA, which is located 180 km east of Los Angeles in the Colorado Desert, next to Joshua Tree National Park. The Coachella Valley, where the town of Palm Springs is located, is surrounded on all sides by mountains. And when we first went there, we were very surprised to see the beautiful mountain scenery in town.

Because of this geography, Palm Springs has sunshine all year round (354 days a year). The air heats up a lot, the wind often blows, and it’s especially hot in the summer. So we advise you not to go to Palm Springs in the summer, but if your vacation is in the summer months, I will make you happy with the fact that all the hotels in town have a pool!

In Palm Springs, it’s important to get the right hotel right away, depending on your preferences: relaxing spa hotel (like El Morocco Inn & Spa), active shopping, or entertainment.

We, for example, usually come to Palm Springs to relax for a couple of days after a trip to the national parks on the U.S. West Coast. We spend a few days here at our favorite and inexpensive movie-themed Red Lion hotel in the Cathedral City area, relaxing in the pool, and walking around town and shopping.

To help you decide which hotel to choose in Palm Springs, we’ve compiled a selection of the best options based on ratings and guest reviews. Now we’ll tell you the best places to stay in Palm Springs for a night or a few days. Also, which hotels are located near the hot springs.
